Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Sorry Pighead, unless the Winker or Stevie G are playing then there's no room for that sort of culture in these here parts.

how long is gone in this game so far?

and is it still 0-0 on the night?

the atmosphere seems very muted for a final?

is this the SA equivalent of the eufa cup?

    Yup.

Estudiantes'd be like the Spurs of Buenos Aires or something. :P

Yep it's the 2nd biggest cup competition in S.America. There's about 35 mins gone. ANd yeah it is a bit muted considering it's the Argies V Brazil. Hopefully a goal will liven things up.

actually, I think the sound is just shít. I reckon they've done a "eurosport" on it and the commentators are sitting in a studio, somewhere in wales by the sounds of it.

yeah, I can definitely hear a lot of singing.

The commentator doesn't really seem to have a clue to be honest. Two disallowed goals there, one of which was clearly onside and he goes "Yer, good decision there.. matter of inches in it."

Decent game so far. Could have been 2-2. Some save by the Argie keeper from the Anderson lookalike. Second half should be more open as Estudiantes have to score.

Sounds like there's a serious atmosphere there to me.

Is that D'Allesandro who used to play for Pompey?

Goal for the Argies! Game on. Next goal wins most probably.

Yep. And it'll be advantage to the Argies after that sending off.

Junior was sent off for International in the 90th minute. It then went to extra time where International took the lead in the 113th minute, then Braña and Boselli were sent off in the 118th and 120th minute for Estudiantes, full time 1-1...International win 2-1 on aggregate!

So this is the equivalent of the Uefa Cup?

Extra time in that match was bizarre. Internacional had a man sent off near the end of normal time and it was advantage Estudiantes you would think. But no! Estudiantes only sat back and allowed Internacional to attack time and time again. You would think it was the Argies who were down to 10 men.

Veron hobbled off early in extra time and he was going mad on the bench as the Brazilians attacked again and again. He was probably trying to tell his lads that they had an extra man. Then Internacional scored and the Argies lost their heads and got two men sent off near the end. Good game all in all.
