Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

that ubuntu-eee looks good its specially designed for eepcs so there should be no driver trouble, its lightweight so it wont stall the machine like most of the full size os's do plus it has skype instead of ekiga which is handy. It was recommended to me by someone at work but i havnt actually had a chance to try it out

you could always dowload one and install it on memory stick, you can then just use the memory stick as the harddrive so you can get a feel for the different distros. There is a windows tool that will write the iso image onto a memory stick and make it bootable, im sure there is a linux equivalent but i havent looked

I've been using ubuntu-eee for the past while and I find it very good compared to xandros that came with it.

From what I could see yesterday, I came to the same conclusion. Haven't been able to try it out yet though.

The wifi didn't work straight away but any search you will do will point you towards the latest Madwifi drivers. I got them working and they are fine.

Am thinking of getting this, are the eeePC's reliable?

How different is Ubuntu-eee to regular ubuntu?
