Recall of Compressed air cylinders until year of manufacture December 2005

Some of the delivered aluminum compressed air cylinders may show material defects. Please note that this recall only refers to the aluminum air cylinders and not to the complete target air rifle.

We will exchange your air cylinder immediately. We really regret the inconvenience that may result for you by this recall. However, we ask for your understanding as your safety when handling your ANSCHÜTZ rifle is most important for us. To deliver products of high quality is the main concern of ANSCHÜTZ, and this is and will be valid for the future, too.

We would ask you to please forward this information to the shooters around you in order to reach a wide spreading.

That's been posted here and in Target Shooting before, but Anschutz are stepping up the campaign for some reason. All clubs have been asked to post the notice up for their members, for example, and they've also offered a new rifle as a prize in a raffle which you enter by sending in a photo of your cylinder if it's one of those that has to be returned.
