The pop the Worm used to get was amazing, Grandmaster had the worst finisher ever! I do remember enjoying them dancing at the rumble as well.

    Matt Hardy - Cruiserweight Champion.
There's a silly gimmick right there. Even sillier gimmick is Matt Hardy as a main eventer, but hopefully WWE won't let it go that far! :D

    What did you not like?

    What did you not like?

The fact that there were better cruiserweights like Rey Mysterio , Shannon Moore, Shane Helms and Jamie Noble with a lot more talent that could have had a run rather than Matt making a mockery of it.

i like how they reflected that by giving him that matt hardy V.1 gimmick.
That kinda cocky, but also respectful attitude.

He had the gimmick before the title. Therefore he didn't need that title.

But that amplified the attitude didn't it?
Without the title theres nothing to be cocky about

    You've missed my point.
The attitude was established for months prior to that title win, he already had the "i'm better than you, but with a little work you might have a chance of being somewhat like me" attitude. He had Shannon Moore (and at one point, Crash Holly just before he died) as his disciples! A title that would have meant f*ck all to him wasn't going to amplify the attitude. It would have done a lot more for Moore's career than it did for Hardy's.

The Matt run with the belt actually gave it some notoriety.

And when he did finally lose the belt to Rey Mysterio, it got a great pop, was the main event of Smackdown (getting the biggest tv rating in 13 weeks for Smackdown that year http://100megsfree4.com/wiawrestling/pages/wwf/wwfsmck.htm ) and gave the belt some steam for about 6 months when Rey was the focal point of the division with feuds with Tajiri, Noble and Chavo.
