    Hi,

My pal has an old desktop that required a new hard drive and memory RAM as well.

The desktop is a Dell Dimension 5000 (D02506a)
It originally has: Memory: 512MB Dual Channel DDR2 400Mhz (2x56), and Hard Disk is: 160GB (7200pm) Serial ATA Hard Drive with 8mb Databurst cache.

I told him i would try and get parts as he is in Spain and i have a spare Hard drive: https://www.elara.ie/products/detailsfull.asp?productcode=MME6951132

I would rally appreciate if someone can confirm if that hard drive should fit and run ok and also please recommend a bit of RAM to upgrade. Was thinking would the following do: http://memory.co.uk/catalog/kingston-2gb-667mhz-ddr2-non-ecc-cl5-sodimm-p3902.html

I need the ram to be delivered by Jan 2nd and i know now its hard to find reliable delivery. Any help greatly appreciated.
