Green Cert Course over a few weeks?

Does anyone know where I could do a version of the Green Cert which would last only for a few weeks?

I am studying for a degree at the moment.
I wouldn't be keen on doing the two year course at Clonakilty or Kildalton.

I heard something about a night farming course taking place in Mallow next february, dunno if this is a the variation of the Green Cert I want to do though.

    Any help appreciated.

Teagasc run an online green cert course, that takes about 200 hrs. You have to get your degree first to qualify to do it. Check out the website.

I did it about 2 years ago but I think it has changed since and gotten longer. It was 180 hours when I did it and it was in 2 blocks of 10 weeks and 8 weeks. Supposedly you are meant to do 10 hours study per week. But in reality you can get it done in 2 hours or less - well that's what I found. had to do 4 days in an ag college and some written exams, but they were pretty basic. I think it was a handy course and it has qualified me for a lot of extra payments. Again, as the above poster said, you need to be finished your third level college or at least have a fetac level 6 qualification like an apprenticeship or that. Heard that the new course has a lot more days in the ag college and a lot more exams. Just look up the website for it and give them a call. They're very friendly.
