Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I don't think I've ever seen 75 percent possession before

i think Liverpool west ham was 85-15 at one stage. But it was either early on or something like "last ten minutes"

Only a matter of time before they score tbh.

I think the united barca match ended like 70-30 possession last year

Good to see the Manchester All Stars are struggling against the 4th worst defence in the league.

Hmm interesting first half. Completely dominate performance, however a lot of that is done to Sunderland letting United play up to a certain point ie Rio/Vidic/Carrick/Fletcher have very little pressure on them. sunderland just interested in not letting United get behind in that respect they are dong a good job.

Feel United could do with a bit more width. Ronaldo, Park, Rooney, Berbatov are all very narrow and when Carrick and Fletcher join in there is no space at all. I would bring on Nani for Park and tell him to hug one of the touchlines. Might stretch it a bit.

The longer it stays 0-0 the more Sunderland will fight and the more United will try and force it. Probably end up trying to force it too much. Early goal and I think Sunderland heads will drop.

Ronaldo playing like a petulant tit. Berbatov invisible and Rooney only having an ok game.

we must be watching different game altogether

he's passing has been woeful,he had a simple pass to carrick and couldnt even do that

    very poor

stupid flick passes are what win games like this. One comes off, its a goal. Liek the perfect one he did to set up Berbatov.

Frankly, Sunderland look comfortable enough sitting back here. Wonder when United fans will start to get nervous.

    nothing boring about it :D

lots of nice possession neat passing movement

no given stupid possession given away by the best midfield player in england

think it took liverpoool till the diying minutes to put one pass sunderland no? ;)

Haven't seen the game to be quite frank,
but I didn't hear anything about xabi alonso having stray passes.

    Aye we're the consummate entertainers.

it's all about the build up and then the punch line.

no idea think I got 5/1 at half time on a draw - any type of draw, probably throwing money away but you never know.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,910 ✭✭✭✭whatawaster

unless he is seriously injured which he didnt look to be he should of stayed on till they could make a sub no excuses:mad:

    Disgraceful from Ronaldo.

    First kicking the ball out.
Second making the decision himself that he was coming off.
and Third not giving the bench anytime to prepare a sub. (Anderson wasn't for him).

He really should be disciplined for that.

  • Moderators, Education Moderators Posts: 9,648 Mod ✭✭✭✭mayordenis

better off without him tbh - think about what might of been with tevez instead of him.

forget about berba looking lazy, at least he doesn't insult the club.

If he could walk off the pitch he could have stayed on it till a sub was ready.

    Good play from Reid there.

Bet if roanaldo had scored he would have stayed on ......just to milk the applause

The boys in the Setanta Studio sound like they are doing their nut.

Speculating on Ronaldo going off - "Maybe he got bored" prompted the reply "We're still here" in a tone of utter disgust.

Also the number of times they have said that something along the lines of well Sundeland can come to Old Trafford and defend and try and hope to get something out of the game and it's up to Utd to break them down, when you can tell they hate it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,148 ✭✭✭✭Raskolnikov

Reid made some great use of that bulk to poleaxe Ronaldo.
