My wife needs to buy a second hand car. Firstly, does anybody know any good dealers South Side Dublin/North Wicklow? Secondly, should you get a mechanic to check a car brought through a dealer or is a three month guarantee enough?

yep, make sure you have an idea what make/model and year you want. They will finance it themselves and usually deliver within a day or two.

Also with interest rates heading toward 0%, they will give you an interest free loan no problem.

It's better to call into your branch though, if the customer had their car loan there then you will be able to view the reposessed cars at their carpark. They won't be marked with a price though as they can't officially sell from the car park, but you will be able to tell which ones as they should be pretty clean and the tax will be out.
