NOTICE: Anyone Buyin or Sellin! [please read]

Hey everyone,

As we approach the Christmas season there appears to be activity on the forum relating to selling goods or services. There's been a number of instances in recent times where the moderators have pulled people up on it. This notice isn't directed at any one user in particular but intends to address the entire forum and clarify some points of the Charter

If selling - There are two types of selling that have posed difficulties;

(a) your own personal goods
(b) the goods/services of businesses that you own or represent

Please note that the photography forum is NOT the place to sell personal goods or business goods and services.

In the instance of selling personal goods please revert to the sister site to boards;- adverts.ie This site has a code of practice and is structured to facilitate the selling of personal goods and has great advice available to both buyers and sellers. As always follow the advice on the site and buy in safety.

In the case of business services - the boards rules are clear. Businesses need to discuss opportunities with the admins in terms of the commercial interaction forum so please do not post in the threads of the forum without appropriate permissions.

Boards users can obviously post and discuss their personal use and experiences of business services however businesses - please don't post your product or services rates without having a commercial arrangement/permissions with the admins in place. Such posts will be deleted and you are likely to gain infractions or temp/permanent forum bans.

If buying - you are welcome to use the forum to post questions about your intended purchase. In the first instance please read the information contained in the stickies, FAQ's and use the search facility to obtain the wisdom of the forum first.

It would be appreciated if everyone could bear the above in mind when posting on the topics of buying or selling.

I'm leaving this as a temporary sticky for the lead up to Christmas and we'll monitor the situation. If you have further queries then please PM any of the moderators.
