    Hi all,

I have a JVC video camera (model GR-D240EK). It is 3 years old and there is an issue when I play back a tape. The sound quality is fine but there is a series of black lines across the screen. This is happening on all the old tapes I have. I don't think its an environmental factor as the tapes were kept in different places. I think its due to the camera itself.

Has anyone come across this problem before, and if so, is there a fix.

    Thanks in advance.

    Ted.

Sounds like dirty heads, you can get a cleaner tape that should fix that. If not, most camera shops will hae a look for you
