3-0 to O' Shea. This is a hammering.

Get this, O'Shea 3-0 Anderson, doubles really letting him down:mad:
    Dammit too slow

will be a bit happier going into the break after getting that set.

Now on the topic of PDC/BDO, my 8yo just asked me why are they playing no music when they went for their break, explained to him the reason.
His answer back was "BBC is rubbish, if I was allowed to go to one, I would want to go to the other one, it looked more crack"

    My 8yo has spoken:D

PS. He does not want Anderson or O'Shea to win as they both have man u players names:D

Anderson out, maybe the Premier League Wildcards will be named tomorrow.

Hope Fitton comes back and beats Waites!

Nice one, Fitton was losing 4-2 and looked dead and buried, came back to win 5-4. His doubles were rubbish through out the match.

    Fitton V O'Shea now....should be good.

Shamrock missing off O'Shea's shirt. Odd. First thing he pointed to when I met him the first time.

Where's George gone? Not working this year? Anyone know why?
    Bit annoying, but entertainingly so.

He is unfortunately, he seems to be commentating on every second match.

Seen them both interviewed last night,I think it was mentioned last night that Fitton was O'Sheas best man at his wedding.

Delighted Fitton managed to get through, I think he is a quality player on his day and a top bloke. Met him in Shell Garage in Dalkey one day for some odd reason and had a chat with him. Bit of a crowd favourite as well and has the ability to win a World Title.

Was watching this match on the red button last night and Ted Hankey made a comment which for me sums up the BDO. He was asked by Tony Green whilst doing commentary what his training schedule was like, he said well I did about 45 minutes today, 30 minutes the day before and I might go for the full hour tomorrow seeing as I have a world championship quarter final match later that day.

Both Hankey and Greene sounded like they were doing commentary from the back of a library and absolutely no crowd atmosphere came across, In fairness the first 4 sets were fairly tame.(Fitton V Waites)

Tony Greene really annoys me as a commentator! Sometimes his knowledge of darts is awful he why does he practically whisper into the microphone? He hardly ever gets excited, even when a 180 is scored sometimes he completely ignores it because he is off talking about something else.

I wonder why John Part isn't commentating this year? He is a quality commentator.

Don't think he was either last year?

He was not present last year as he won the PDC World championships and wanted time to enjoy his win and I don't think the BDO would like to be talking about his win with PDC being their rivals.

This pleases me, i turn off the damn tv everytime they have TG on it, the golden girl my a***, beats nobody for years and then once a decent player comes along ( Anastastia) she gets beat and then says "id like to have her here this year, i told her she would only have it for one year"

Don't know about that... when he won his second championship he commentated with the BDO.

Shame because O' Shea acts like a six year old with his overuse of his nickname, Hankey will beat him in the final

Hankey does it at the start but I don't mind because I quiete like his entrance music but O Shea comes out with rubbish entrance music and then bangs his chest in front of the crowd every few minutes. Hankey is like Mardle and Manley with a big entrance but the difference is he is much better than both players

Did anyone here the crap that the commentators were saying: "Stockport is the capital of Darts".
I wonder what Taylor , Lewis , Mason , Hamilton and Hankey will be saying about that

They were reading the sign that O'Shea and Fitton's wives had on their table. They must have shown it two dozen times.

Fill your boots on Hankey, he'll mop off O'Shea, 7-3 i reckon.

what time is the final on? I haven't watched any of Lakeside this year. I think PDC has a big advantage not only because the standard is higher but because people are off work and have nothing better to do than watch darts :)

Think Hankey will win myself as long as he can hit hi doubles. He has much better scoring power than o' Shea. Still I think it will be closer than people think, Hankey 7-5.

Was surprised to see Keith Deller there on Friday night, needless to say nothing said about how he earns his living these days, probably living off the 8 grand he won in 1983. It's a quite unbelieveable final, I think Hankey was around 50/1 at the start, having said that he threw good darts on Friday, didn't see the semi but sounded good. He actually has a lovely throwing action, eyes glued to the board and a very classic release. Still though at the end of today he could well have the same amount of world titles as Dennis Priestley, doesn't sound right to me.

I am going for O'Shea, come on Tony!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 780 ✭✭✭jossnjuice

just backed shea at 16/1 when hankey had a two leg lead. he must have been at least 1000/1 when hankey missed his six.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,677 ✭✭✭Chong

    Oh well harsh on Tony.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,003 ✭✭✭ratinakeg

    I've noticed two errors tonight with the scoring most notably;
Hankey got 140 but was announced 100 and that score stood.
    Was it a fix:confused:
    I'm not sure!

This is my territory, be on yer way!!

Very entertaining final. And here was me questioning whether to watch it or not. Say what you want about the BDO, but that's the 2nd year in a row that they've had a more entertaining final than the PDC.

I bet Mr Hankey did a few Christmas Poos there

John Part / Kirk Shepard was horrible.
Barney couldn't hit a set winning double in one of the worst games I saw [Glen Moody / Niels De Ruiter was the worst game I saw] but I still prefer the PDC
