Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hey lads,

I think this is the right forum but please move if not.

I have broadband with NTL and a wireless router downstairs sending it around the house. TBH the signal is bad and speeds too. Rather then drilling holes to run a length of cat 5 downstairs to upstairs is it possible to have 2 cable modems connecting on 2 different NTL points in the house.

I have an NTL point in my bedroom upstairs and when i plug the cable modem into it singly it works fine, same when plugged in downstairs.

The question is can i have 1 cable modem downstairs and 1 cable modem in my bedroom at the same time??

You'll need two accounts with UPC though.

Why not use Homeplug to use your electrical wiring of your house as a network? Yea will need two Homeplug units though minimum :) but yea can have many points on the Homeplug network once yea have plug sockets in those locations

    http://www.dabs.ie/ProductList.aspx?SearchTerms=homeplug&SearchMode=All&SearchKey=All&PageMode=3&NavigationKey=0&SearchType=1

I have a setup using these (the 200Mbps ones) and they stream video find from a server to a PS3/Xbox1 etc.
