Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The best thing to do when you start feeling sleepy if you are on a motorway, is open your visor a tiny bit and the wind will keep you awake!

A mate of mine did on his 250cc Virago in rathgar. To this day i am still baffled as to how he managed to fall asleep. Fortunately a lampost saved his life by getting in his away when he dozed off.

I nearly did once. It was gorgeous sunny Sunday evening of a bank holiday weekend. I had just got off the Aran Islands ferry at Rossaveel. The traffic back into Galway was heavy and so slow and you can't over take on that road when there is so much on-coming traffic.

It was a combination of very late nights, heavy drinking, and the sun on my back - I was knackered. I nearly became a statistic. I thought it wasn't possible to fall asleep on a bike.

Best thing to do is pull over. Yeah, cool air will help keep you awake. But your not resting your body & mind.
If you get a bit of rest it can mean the difference of getting home safe or being in an accident and causing injury or worse, with others involved.
