    HI
    Yup me Again,

We had a bit of a nightmare weekend, extension build oil burner boiler all Working fine, Builder builds a small concrete bunker for it with no front I got in a built a wooden gate to it, now the bunker they build is a tiny Fit and cramped, So i was already worried about airflow, However her elfs Dad made us a stainless Steel door and roof and we were all happy, however it packed in on friday night for no reason we Can See, now it comes on for a Few minutes even With the door off and goes off for know reason, Had an engineer look at it he took it apart and Said no problem with the burner/ boiler it must be the electrics,. had the sparks over this Am he Says the thermastat was two high and lowered it but had to rush off to another job,

at the moment we Dont know whats happening , Anyone Any Advise on building boiler houses? eg, air Flow, vents distance for boiler etc etc,?
We think its over heating and clapping out on us, its seems to be the only
    idea As to Whats happening

    Anyone any tips?

    Cheers

    Rob

If the burner is coming on and off while the service engineer is there, he will know why it is doing it - if he knows his stuff.
He will be able to check if there is constant power from the thermostat - or if it is the stat itself that is switching on and off - or something cutting the power further back. I presume that it is not the water pump that is not working, as has happened to others recently.
We can guess all we like, but a service engineer on the spot should know.

    Thanks All

Well its Seems a Combination was in effect, The unit Was indeed overheating and vents have been added to enable it to breath better and something happened to the pump, some of the rads Were leaking ( well all actually ) and there was a Loss in pressure,

Seems Like its all be fixed now, Fingers Crossed its stays on and will be nice a toastie tonight :)

    Glad you're fixed up.
The units don't overheat, but the burner does need plenty of air to burn correctly. The 1st engineer should have been ablt to tell you that the pump was not working.
