Excellent win tonight, the side worked hard and defended well. it should give the players great confidence for the utd game...:):):)

totally agree bentley wasted every chance we made. good result though, BAE had a great game for a change. hopefully put it up to Manyoo at the weekend :)

am delighted lennon was in the game a lot more and it proved vital,he has to stay on the right.Sweet left foot from Jamie.Lookin forward to weekend havent been over since august, who else is heading over?

Nice one! Chuffed with that result, and the performances of the vast majority of the team. Zokora, the back 4, the keeper, were all superb. Lennon was class and as for Modric - how we miss him! Absolutely delighted!!

Yep BAE played very well and as for Corluka - best RB we've had in aeons, big and strong and good on the ball.

Bentley was very sluggish. I really questioned the logic behind going for him in the summer on a thread on here (for which i was roundly slated!) and i still don't see how a team with him and AL in it is balanced. He'l be dropped for Man U and may find it hard to get back into the team.

Im heading over on Satdee too should be a gud'un.

Great result tonight, i'm really glad gormes pulled off that great double save, maybe this will give him a little boost for the big game on sat, i think he is starting to play well, plus great to see modric back:)

Very good result and well deserved. The only real hairy moment was the double save the Octopus had to make.

Thought JJ looked very sloppy again but Modric was class and a superb strike from O'Hara.

Why start Lennon on his weaker left side? When he was back on the right, he constantly looked dangerous.

Anyway 3 points in the bag, lets keep em crossed that we can finish the year undeafeated against the 'big four' with a good result against that crowd from the industrial estate just outside of manchester, come saturday.

    COYS

    Massive Win.
Puts us back in the pack, and sets up Saturday evenings game nicely.

I have'nt been his biggest admirer over the last 18 months, but I thought Zokora was excellent. Fair Play.

Good team performance, thought Zokora was immense in the 2nd half, always good to get one over Wet Spam ... Lets hope we keep this going and especially for Saturdays game

Good all round team performance, we were never really threatened until very late in the game.

I think Rooney is suspended for Sat game :D

    COYS :)

Finally broke my duck for the season (not having seen us win in person that is :D) and I'm covered in bruises from celebrating the 2nd goal. Was expecting bother outside the ground after by they'd all slunk away once the game was beyond reach.

Top marks to Gomes for the double save, and also our support who got right behind him (no doubt the media won't point that out, as positives like that rarely sell papers) He looks so much more confident now, hopefully he's turned the corner but I can't fault him for his last few weeks work.

Great win, good performance, one of the few games under Harry I can honestly say, we deserved to win, no doubt, no luck, no 9 men, no BS, we one fair and square because we were the better team.

I wonder if accommodating Bentley will happen for much longer - he doesn't play well on the left or the middle, and quite frankly Lennon is out-playing him on the right!

    So my team for Saturday.

    Gomes
    Corluka -- -King----Woody
    BAE

    Zokora
    Lennon
    Hudd
    O'Hara
    Modric

    Bent

That's almost exactly the team I'd play except that I can't decide whether I'd want Jenas in there instead of Hudd, seeing as he's more mobile and quite a bit quicker. It would be interesting to see Hudd v Carrick though, new against old!

Aside from Lennon being outstanding last night and every cross he put in looked dangerous I thought Modric was amazing last night. I counted at least 3 times where he chased down defenders when they were in comfortable possession and won the ball and he was involved in everything we had going forward. Role on the Mancs.
