operating system install

Hey,
I just build a pc but i need to install os. i have windows vista downloaded onto my laptop. how do i put it on to my pc.I know i need to burn it on to dvd as it is 2.9gbs. But I was wondering do i need to turn it into iso file first before i burn it on to dvd. Any help would be much appreciated.

Actually on rereading you probably downloaded an iso from somewhere. Yes you need to burn the ISO image onto a blank DVDrw with a DVD writer using something like Nero.

its actually in exe format with all the files such as setup all sub folders etc. do i need to convert all the files into one iso file.
