Sony Vegas pro 8 problem

    Hi everyone, i hope I posted this in the right place

    I recently got Sony Vegas Pro 8 on my computer. But when I place an avi file into the timeline and play the video, the quality is really bad.
    I can't understand this because when I play it in windows media player the quality is so much better! Can anyone tell me why this is and if it can be fixed? Thanks

    This is because videos imported are played in a lower quality to reduce PC lag, and I advise you to keep it this way.

    When videos are exported the quality should be same as when imported.
