Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    For Wicklow ..

Hill Walkers Wicklow by David Herman - ISBN 0953143317

    and/or

Hill Strollers Wicklow by David Herman - ISBN 0951454781

The "strollers" one is for more gentle walks than the "walkers" one.

Don't know of any for the Burren specifically though.

"Easy walks near Dublin" and "Leisure walks near Dublin" by Joss Lynam are excellent. Most of the routes described are only about 2-3 hours but a lot of them are close enough to one another to be combined to give longer treks. His maps describing the routes are excellent also. David Hermann for the longer walks or more experienced walker.

Also - I think Kevin Corcoran has a book called "west of ireland walks" - some routes in the burren are covered.

I can't seem to find a copy of that book.
Found one site that had it, placed my order but then they said it's out of stock.

Where are you based? If Dublin, they're easily found in book shops such as Easons, or in outdoor shops such as the Great Outdoors.

I'm looking for it too, Great Outdoors don't have it. Might it be out of print? Amazon.co.uk have used copies for STG£60...

That's strange, although I did get mine a few years ago I have to admit. I suppose it could be out of print, if so it's a shame.

They're both published by Shanksmare Publications, 41 Meadow Grove, Dublin 16 (no phone number I'm afraid), which I suspect is probably the author's home address, if that's any help.

I found 'The Wicklow Way Map Guide by EastWest Mapping' to be very good, for walking sections of the WW. Hughes and Hughes, Easons, etc..
