    Has anyone noticed in this frosty weather that the roof area around SKY TUBES is always defrosted. A lot of heat pisses out of them

    Not surprised!
    Foil / tin funnel with perspex "fish bowl" lid.
    Double skin dome with fully insulated funnel, wrapped in fibre glass, would help alot.

    If you wanted to create a waterproof heat vent I couldnt think of a better way :)
