Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    I dunno.
I work in O'Briens and we've only ever done bottles. They are bottles that come by the slab rather than the box though so maybe the OP meant bottles.

Cobra is the beer they serve in good Indian restaurants - it's a premium beer and tastes beautiful...

O'Briens in Ashbourne has none of the specials advertised today :(

The store manager there seemed a bit shocked it had been advertised already.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 891 ✭✭✭Drummerboy2

The Glasnevin branch of O'Briens are doing that deal. Got myself a slab of Cobra for €25, reduced from €50, excellent value.

    Pity it tastes rank tho!

Drank Cobra for a while when it was €6 for 4 bottles before it went to €2.50 a pop. Nice enough but dont think I'd drink a slab of it.

I don't know if it's the same Heineken kegs all over the place, but the ones in Limerick have BBE 12/2008....so pretty much short-dated imo.

    Cheers,

Blanch....€29.99 for same slab. 100%. Strange or what ?????

I've just checked online and the price seems to be back to 39
I ordered online last week and got it for 29:o

29 offer seems over in superquinn. A relative was told so in Superquinn in Finglas last night at 9pm. Anyway, anyone know of any cheap slab offers still running or will i ask my mate heading north to fix me up?

    No need to be embarrassed!
I've found my local SuperValue (The Rise Mt. Merrion) most unhelpfull when it comes to these offers, the staff knowing nothing about it and me having to for the manager to find out if there was any stock in. Thought it was very unfair when the shelves were loaded of full price cans.

These beer bargains seem to be hit and miss, I'm considering a beer run but if I can get slabs for 30 euro it will hardly be worth it. I think these bargains are publicity stunts. IMO.

Anyway just off the phone and these guys are selling slabs of beer for (23GB) (24.30Eu), loads of stock and its the "always on" price.

    Greenbank Wine Lodge

This place is selling slabs of 500ml beer (carlsberg etc etc) for 20 euro each.

    McGeough Service Station

    68, Edenappa Road, Jonesborough, Newry, BT35 8HU
    Tel: 028 3084 8800

    Beer run here we go!

Regardless they seem to run out of stock fairly quick, so to me its a PR stunt.

Just picked up 24 bottles of Bud in Super Valu for 19.50, only 300ml mind.

Also got a 6 pack of Corona in Carry Out for €8.99. I needed them cold as the Bud is straight off the shelf.
