does anyone know if there is a magical website out there that compares a lot of the major insurance companies in the one go so you can see which one is best or is going through all the leg work of ringing them all the only way?

There's www.insure.ie which I think gets quotes from a few places, but for the sake of an hour's work, I would certainly ring around to get the best price.
