    Buying from a Reputable Car Dealer In Sligo

    I am being allowed 1200 on a 99 skoda felicia.

    How much of a cheque should i give them

    any advice appreciated - i dont know a thing about cars but i know volkwagens are fairly reliable ie i dont want another skoda

    Would you not try and sell the Skoda privately and buy the Polo straight out? You will then be in a much better position to get a better deal on the Polo with no trade-in.

    I would put a price of about €6000 for a 04 Polo. These guys are asking for €6400 for this one:

    I reckon given today's second hand car market you would probably buy that for around €5,600 with no trade-in.

    Also don't believe all that VW marketing nonsense, the Polo is generally one of their more reliable cars but VW reliability is nothing special these days.
