I believe the nomination would be based on one's posts during the year. If you were posting and using the site at some point through 2008, and were in fact 'a muppet,' then I don't really see your point... For it to be slander, it must be false. Threads like this would actually confirm the opposite of that--no?

Actually, surely it'd be libel as its written and recorded, while slander would be spoken.

also for it to be libel it would have to:
1. it must refer to the complainant
2. it must be false.

As for 1, it only refers to an internet persona, which cannot necessarily be linked to you as a person whatsoever.

and 2. well...you're a muppet.
