Were my eyes playing tricks on me or did that originally read 60 hours :confused::confused:

Is it 72 hours of cycling, i.e. could be spread out over 5 days or to do it in under 72 hours total, including sleep etc?

I actually wanna post goals here for myself....

    1. Get to Vegas this summer
    2. Play 20k hands of 400NL
    3. Have a winrate of ~5BB/100 at 200NL (little optimistic and I'd be happy with 3)
    4. Play 200NL PLO
    5. Have a score in a decent live donkament and hopefully graduate to be a real poker player on the Hendon Mob site
    6. Get back a level of fitness, and complete this: http://www.imra.ie/leagues/view/id/10/year/2008/
    7. Be all set up for a 1:1 in my course by December.

I'd prob be happy with 4 of these.

    1. Have at a least 100k year online nlhe

    2. Put serious effort into PLO - play evenings while ipoker sleeps

    3. Work 3 months in outback => extend visa extra 12 months

    4. Actually do what im supposed to do, and work the final 6 months of year in practice => set myself up for a permanent visa in 2010

    5. Yea, i guess i could work on fitness and probably join a hurling club

Yep, it can also be used as a template for scaling up to 10k. Obviously once that level is reached you would need more specialised training to build a plan to train for a marathon. Its very easy, if i can do it after the shape i was in, anybody can.

That would be very impressive if you pulled it off as apart from one group who cycled it non stop in just under 24 hours, I've only ever heard of this been done over 4 days. For 72 hours, you would need to be doing about 130 miles each day

My one and only poker goal for 2009 is to start playing big tournaments. Seems like you don't really need any skil to any skill at all to win one.

The ol cooperation North,Maracycle to Belfast was only 105 miles each day (there and back), so 130 is achievable if you've a good bicycle, it'll be tough on ya but doable, Jackyback could do that I'm sure in 72 hours. A fair enough achievement.
off topic there is a great programme on BBC 3 about a guy cycling around the world. It's fascinating .If anyone knows where I can buy the DVD of it I'd be grateful, I've been looking in all da shops but nothing.

    5. Post more on the HH forum.

    1) Play 1,925 hands per week, starting on GJP again at 50 NL with 1,500 roll - Beat it at 3-5 bbs

    2) Play / Improve so as to move up to 100 NL by the end of the year within BR - Beat it a 3-5 bbs

    3) Vegas WSOP 2009 - cashflow positive trip

    4) Post more hands in HHs section

    5) Keep beating the cash game in the Fitz - Make €600 per month this way.

Ding! Got it on the first day. Shame it had to be a $1 freezeout... I really could have done with winning the $10 rebuy I played in earlier. :D

    2009 Poker Aims:

    - Make 50% more money than I did in 2008 (this is a challenging but achievable goal I think)
    - Don't kid myself that I am going to focus more on online cash; if I happen to do so, fine, if not, fine, no point saying it every year and then playing <20,000 hands!
    - Improve ROI %'s both live and online in MTTs and STTs - do this by focusing on the games that I perform the best in (going through my quite extensive records over the past few years should help)
    - Spend more time on 2+2 and try to contribute further than answering questions about PPP and the Irish Open
    - Organise another 'pool & beers' night and defend my title of 'most unlikely pool shark'! :)
