O2 network settings for a G1

    I've just bought a G1 and I'm in the middle of the set-up which requires me to fill loads of info about my network. I'm on an iPhone plan with O2 and I've never had to do much network set-up before so I'm lost.

    Can anyone please help?

    I need:

    Name: (which I guess is just a label)
    APN:
    Proxy:
    Port:
    Username:
    Password:
    Server:
    MMSC:
    MMS Proxy:
    MMS port:
    MCC:
    MNC:
    APN type:

    Thanks to anybody who can assist a cocky iPhone type who thought he knew something about this stuff.

    The APN settings are open.internet with no username or password (just leave those fields blank). I don't know any of the others though.

    APN: open.internet or try just internet if it doesn't work
    Proxy:none or disabled or however you tell it not to use one
    Port:associated with proxy so not needed. Try 0
    Username:none
    Password:none
    Server:http:www.o2.ie/
    MMSC:http://mmsc.mms.o2.ie:8002
    MMS Proxy:62.40.32.40
    MMS port:8080
    MCC:272
    MNC:02
    APN type: no idea. What are the options or is it just a text box?

    The internet access point isn't enabled on all accounts so if it doesn't work i'll post the wap settings

    These worked great. The APN type input area is just a text box. Thanks a lot for that. Really appreciate it.
