Eircom upgrade old 2mb to 7mb: original 2247NWG router does not get potential speed

    - just a warning. was only getting up to 4.5mb until i tried my brother's 2247-02. its now up to 6.2mb. i'm happy with that - check the model on your router's homepage. mine was was the 2247NWG-VGx

    ..does anyone know why the PS3 browser's Speedtest is showing as high as 17mb unreasonably consistently?!


    EDIT: WILL eircom give me/us the latest router for free so their advertised 7mb package we just bought/upgraded to will work to its potential?

    how would i verse this... "you gave me a router that's now out of date and undermining your 7mb product?" as is proven
