Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Micky Owen strikes again.

Toon currently 1 nil to the good at Fratton Park. Michael Owen with a sublime finish from a lovely through ball from Spidey 3.gif. Just compounding the fact that we will be fcuked when he leaves.

Game is fairly open. Oba has had one or two chances (absolutely rattled one off the post in the fist half), but Defoe has been causing problems for us. Hopefully the Pompey back 4 will tire somewhat now, and we can nick another. Still though, given our recent performances, I wouldn't be too confident of us holding this lead.

    Howay the lads.

Nice ball fro Shola to Danny for the third.

I love it when Frank returns to Upton Park. :D

Edit: Why did I think this match was WH at home?

Chelsea looked blunted, but every single time they go forward I always feel like they could score, especially with Lampard and his magical deflections.

There's still a long way to go, but if Chelsea got some width on this pitch, I think they'd rip West Ham apart.

Still, I remain very hopeful. Come on a draw!

Ah well, that was fun while it lasted. With Carlton Cole playing like, well, Carlton Cole at the other end and wasting chances the miracle ain't going to happen.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,589 ✭✭✭✭Necronomicon

West Ham have responded very well in fairness. Couple of good chances in minutes. Cole made a right balls of his chance.

Carlton Cole, 16 goals in 106 premiership appearances throughout his career. He is one of the big mysteries of the league for me. Just why and how the **** does he maintain his place as starting striker?
