Anyone here know where the law stands here on owning blank fire guns? Id like to collect them, seen as Id never be allowed to own as many live fire guns. Anyone know the full stroy on them?

I was shown the laws on collecting in NI. Unreal!!! You can collect anything you want! No limits (ALL LIVE) you can even have a small amount of live rounds to fire once you have a range to suite the firearm (or cannon)!

Think Ill be moving soon :) 105mm on collectors licence sounds interesting!

So you can legally own machine guns in the North? Any idea how many legally held machine guns there are up there?

You would need a firearms licence also for only-blank-firing guns here. I know of reenactors who have licences for shotguns and have their Mausers etc. converted to .410 blank-fire.
