Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi

If anyone is any good at setting up Sat dishes, I'd appreciate if they could give me a hand.

I have the receiver in, Sat dish mounted etc - but just can't get it to pick up anything !!!

I actually had same receiver/dish mounted 3 years ago (was for in-laws coming over - so, wanted to get French TV). So, I had it up and runing - then didn't use it for a few years and now, they're coming over again.

I can't afford much but if someone can help, I can sort them out with a few quid or some beers :)

P.S. I am in Carpenterstown. I'm around at weeknds and evenings during the week.

    TIA

    Hey

Thanks for offer. I have a Sky dish, which isn't used at the mo but runs into my livingroom - so, this would be handiest.
I've also a 80cm dish mounted and connected to an Optex analogue receiver (this is the receiver I can't get to work). But the in-laws are bringing over a TNTSAT receiver. Got it on ebay.fr with card to give 4 years subscription, for only 129 euro. Same system over here costs 289 !

Anyway, the TNTSAT needs to point at Astra 19.2E - would the Sky dish be able to pick this up without realigning it ? If so, then I just need to plug
it into the Sky connection in my living room :)

If the Sky dish wn't pick it up, then I gotta realign one of the dishes :( The Sky dish (on chimney) would mean less cabling in the house but the other dih I have is mounted on the back of the house so, easy to get at (out bathroom window)

    TIA
    Rob
