I've not been myself. Anyone been there?

Was there last week and it was lovely.

Big group so set menu for €40. Good choices (about 7/8 for both starter and main)

Very busy but a little loud

Is it run by the same people who own The Market Square?

How would you feel if you're with a group and the wiaters ask you keep the volume down as it's frowned on by other customers or was the noise coming from the kitchen?

I thought Hamptons was up it's own hole. Food was nice but I couldn't help feeling that the waiter was talking down to me.

Just posted this in definitive list
    +1

Great restaurant, was there Friday night. Had veg soup...very nice, just the right amount of veg too and big chunky slice of brown bread to go with it.

Main meal was rib eyed steak....uhh still having wet dreams about it, was divine!! Mash and carrots with it, were superb although the carrots looked like baby food

Dessert was great too, plate full of 8 mini desserts, just perfect!

The french guy isn't the owner, it's a couple from Donoughmore who own both the Market Square and the Hamptons.

Nice restaurant. Savage food. My only gripe were the deserts. The portions are embarrassingly small. I ordered a cheesecake that was the same size as a golf ball and my friend ordered a strawberry trifle that was served in a shot glass. I'm serious..... a fuc*ing shot glass.

Yeah RB thats the way they come, thats why its better to get a mix of desserts
