Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Want surround sound without cables-what options

    Hi,
(if in wrong forum subject please let me know)
I'm looking for surround sound speakers for the tv. I watch films mainly on tv through a multimedia external HD. I have a toddler and wooden floors so don't want speakers with cables.

My budge is about €300 (could be stretched to 400 if need be). My options are wireless (probably very expensive) or a 'long speaker' that sits under the tv and projects the stereo/surround sound). I think I'd prefer this to wireless speakers as the shape of the living room isn't great for setting up speakers...

    Anyone have any advice?

    Cheers,
    Pa.

    Hi P

Saw one of these today in H'Norman..."Soundbar" by Philips. They claim to reproduce 5.1 sound in one wide bar plus active sub. No rear speakers. I can't vouch for it but might suit your needs if audio performance is acceptable to you

Be aware most wireless speakers, typically for the rear channels operate at 2.4MHZ along with cordless DECT phones and microwave ovens and wireless networks i believe. You dont see many for sale for this reason.

    Good luck Spin
