I order ntl broadband online. 5 weeks later I receive an email telling me that they cannot provide me with broadband. They didn't give any reason.

Does anyone live in Smithfield, Smithfield Market? I moved there 5 weeks ago and need broadband. NTL, whilst they customer service is ****e, have the best deal for ulimited broadband and no line-rental fees.

I'm frustrated. I don't know why it took so long to receive a reply, especially a negative one with no explaination. I know they offer broadband in Dublin 7. Any ideas?

Can someone please help me out here? We have a ntl cable box from the previous tenants. What's going on?

Moved from Dublin City to Broadband.

Mods - feel free to throw it back again if you wish.

Just because you have a tv box doesn't mean you get to have broadband. As for why did it take so long to find out - well it's a case of you get what you pay for. If you were to ring up the premium line you'd have gotten an answer pretty quickly.

I think Smart Telecom has a monopoly in Smithfield Market ie exclusive rights to provide telephone/broadband/TV. No idea why this is still legal.

Well at least Smarts phone and broadband services are very good, if a little pricey.

I lived in Smithfield Market for 3 years and had Smart Telecom.

    Unlimited, fast and generally reliable.

Sheer bliss compared to almost every other service. I am even considering moving back solely for the internet service!

    Call them now.
