serviceing a BMW ?????

    hi does anyone know what i need for serviceing a E39 523i
    spark plugs
    air filter
    oil filter
    fuel filter
    pollen filter
    oil

    also what oil grade do i need ???? i.e 10w40 - 5w30 - 20w30 etc etc

    also what do i need to servive an E90 320d
    what grade of oil for that too , anyone please help

    Best thing to do is buy a Haynes manual on ebay.....it will take you through it. The oil specs should be in the owners manual. Go for fully synthetic.

    I'd be very surprised if there was a Haynes manual for the E90, or even the E39 for that matter.

    Hi you need the BMW LL-01 fully synthetic oil. Castrol EDGE in the Gold coloured container is a suitable oil 0W-30. It will say on the Castrol container that it's suitable for BMW, etc.

    Change the fuel filter too if it hasn't been changed. There's bound to be a build up of crap in there at this stage.
