I'll wait till they bring out the 1.4L ECO model :D

A friend of mine text me yesterday offering me the two cars below:

    - 2004 BMW X5 3.0D with everything TV/SAT/19' alloys/xenons/sunroof, 58k miles for €21,000

    - 2004 BMW 525i e60 100k miles, €14k.

Things are really going to the wall valuation wise!

If they threw in one years road tax I might actually consider it, but as Mr David has already said; it is definitely 'no focus'.

Good deal, someone send that to the VRO because they have them valued at over 65k and VRT to bring one in from the UK is 22k

That X5 is in Dublin some place. My frriend (based in Cork) does a bit of motor trading on the side so the X5 might be on Carzone but listed at a higher price. I would imagine he would add a bit on if he were to take it to sell to Joe public. He was offered it at that price but was nervous enough taking it on.

Their website has the 645 for 10k (and 20k less on clock)more than carzone...

I wonder if thats a bit more accurate or the site simply out of date

    It's a pity they're ugly as sin.

  • Registered Users Posts: 22,815 ✭✭✭✭Anan1

I kind of like the look, they have a heavy, brooding presence about them. But then, I tend to go for ugly cars.

They're a marmite car... you either like them or hate them!

    I like them though.

better colour options here and still cheap - http://www.driving.ie/usedcars/index.cfm?fuseaction=car&carID=967989

Lovely car, had one myself - very solid and comfortable on the road - at that price an absolute steal! :)

How's the current fleet Steve, anything new?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,161 ✭✭✭steve-hosting36

    No change ;)

    2 x Steve's. Both with a '6' in the name.

    1 x person, schizo, or 2 ? :D:D

You don't want to acknowledge that as truth because, deep down in places you don't talk about at the Green Party, you want me on that road, you need me on that road. We use words like freedom, enjoyment, sport and community. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent instilling those values in our families and loved ones. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the tax revenue and the very freedom to spend it that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”

    nope, 2 people!

Wouldn't rule out a little schizo either ;p

For that presence, 30k is a small price to pay.

Thank god for reg snob's. If it wasn't for them we wouldn't have these:D

But a May '09 NCT on a '04 car? How did that happen?

Aye must be a typo or something. Although for a cars first NCT it can be done 6 months in advance.

Edit: Actually i think that six months is added on, so i don't know tbh.

Still doesn't make sense. The first NCT can be done up to 6 months early. The first NCT was due in May '08 so it could have been NCTd anytime from November '07. The NCT would then be valid until May '10 no matter when the car is NCTd (between November '07 and May '10)

Maybe just a typo though :)

eventhough thats an M6, the 645 is a great car none the less!
Still, its not got the big boot of an Octavia, the dash of a focus and the diesel econony of an A4 TDI. pity ehhhhh

The list is endless, how about a 2004 BMW 745 for under €25k?
    http://www.carzone.ie/search/BMW/7-Series/SALOON/200840190244624/advert

    Or a 2006 730 for €42k.
    http://www.carzone.ie/search/BMW/7-Series/730d-SE-/200850191157231/advert

    That's a drop of over €73k in 2 years.
