Vodafone 3g upgrade?

Suddenly, today, I am getting 1-1.5mbps from Vodafone on the outermost rim of a fairly busy (Leinster - rural) cell. I wouldn't mention it, but I never got half of anything like this from them before (though I have had sporadic bursts of HSDPA for a year or more 400kbps or so was the fastest I got, and that not often).…

I wouldn't mention it, but I never got half of anything like this from them before (though I have had sporadic bursts of HSDPA for a year or more 400kbps or so was the fastest I got, and that not often).

Seems to me that there must have been some kind of system upgrade, it feels like ADSL for the very first time.

Anyone else notice?

PS. Did not see "midband" forum when I wrote this - which does not mean it wasn't THERE, just that I didn't see it.
