Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    i have a Pro-ject audio debut mk 2 http://www.project-audio.com/main.php?prod=debutse&cat=turntables&lang=en

and the right channel cable (the green one) is dodgy. the cables seem to be solid all the way into the tone arm... does anybody know how to change the cables on this turntable??

    cheers

Would you not have a go at it yourself? I presume the wire is from the cart connection right through to the circuit board but, using the existing wires as a guide, this shouldn't be too hard to solder.

I do know a guy who makes cables and he rerwired a Project which I later bought... I don't know if he'd be available to rewire yours (might as well replace all 4 with pure silver while you're at it) but I could ask if you want.

It's not a difficlut job (says he from a safe distance). Fix it and upgrade the cart. It's a good deck and frankly you'd have to spend the fat end of €1k to get much better (Clearaudio or similar).
A Sumiko Blue Point or Blue Point Special is a good upgarde on the standard Ortofon cart. http://www.superfi.co.uk/index.cfm/page/category.cfm/Category/49
