didn't know about the one on quay street but there's definitely one on High st, just 2 doors up from where the bistro was

I'm sure they will honour it in Tobergnal Lane?

I'll have to check but I'm nearly sure it says valid only for High Street on it. :(

Might put on my wheeler-dealer shoes and talk nicely to them in Tobergal if this is the case.

I've heard that both Bistros were completely separate entities

High street is a franchise of Tobergnal Lane.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,272 ✭✭✭Henlars67

well if it's only a franchise then there's no way Tobergal Lane will be honouring vouchers

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,386 ✭✭✭another question

I just suggested it as I think it's worth asking. The owner of Tobergnal Lane was heavily involved in High Street and as a business gesture if may honour. What's not worth asking?

I thought it looked closed down the other day too but passed it yesterday and it was very much open so magnumlady's right, they must just take everything out of the window when they close it for a while.

I was in there on Friday last.
I think they only open the odd day.
There was nothing to suggest that they were closing down.

Must have been quick so, although they can't really have a going out of business sale :(

Looks like the Food Fa(y)re in Collooney has also closed up shop. The cafe stills seems to be operating, however.

It is - but it was a bit out of the way and pretty expensive (lemons for €1 each and so on ...) Sorry for the people who worked there though.

Totally rip off that shop was, 4 stalks of rubarb for €7 when i said that was way too expensive was told, oh thats cos we have to import them!! After the manager left last year it went down hill big time. The cafe is apparently staying open for a while

Express Alley in Finisklin is closing today, too many packed lunches these days I guess. Staff are being moved to Pepper Alley and Park Alley so no jobs lost anyway.

Was in once and thought it was quite reasonable priced for a branch off of Pepper Alley - their sandwiches are far too expensive in there.

Take a trip up Water Lane to Kate's Kitchen and get far nicer sandwiches at around €3.

Where about is Express Alley? Never even heard of it

Sligo Kebab House in Castle Street has shut it's doors I see. I got a kebab off them a couple of times (OK I was monkeys drunk) but still, they were tasty.

I don't care for Bests (there always sounds like there's a murder going on in the kitchen between lads shouting in Turkish, phones ringing and no one answering, at least 2 TV's and a radio going on and possibly a Playstation).

    I eat there twice.
I was never so sick as the second time.
    Good riddance.

This isn't like having 20 pints and 1 Fig Roll Biscuit then getting sick and going round blaming Fig Rolls till the end of days :D

I always asked for extra chillis and chilli sauce, reckoned the heat would kill off any bacteria.

Might try Zam Zams, never been there.

There are way too many Fast Food/Take Away places in town.

Only a matter of time before more of them close.

Best is manky. Actually liked their kebabs, nicest kebabs are Charcoal I'd say
