Hi all, A simple photoshop CS$4 question for some, but this one is driving me nuts: Suppose I draw a path using a pen tool, and then turn that into a selection ... why do I need to invert the selection so that what was 'inside' the path is now inside the selection? does that even make sense to the PS gurus? Thanks!

When you're using the pen tool, which mode is selected?

In the red section in screenie above, see that the second button is selected. This is the "subtract from path area" mode. If this is selected then you will have an inverse selection to what you want. You need to select the first option in order to make a true selection of your path...

I never use pen tool, not quite sure of its purpose..
