Weather hinders Solstice

Unfortunatly the typical Irish weather has hindered the Winter Solstice for 2008. not been present on site i watched the webcast of it. the good people at OPW did how ever splice last years recorded solstice in exact time with this years to get a very good realistic effect of what it should have been like. i do feel for…

Headed down to Drombeg stone circle for sunset on the 21st, large group of people there, poor weather but good fun, was great just to be there

We were a lot luckier at the Baltray standing stones at the mouth of the Boyne:

Got a fantastic sunrise, beneath a sheath of cloud. Hundreds at Newgrange were disappointed.
