Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. will they play 4-4-2 though,

    thats is the question.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 7,134 ✭✭✭x in the city

Everton with 2 up front... ? considering we have no strikers I dont think moyes will bring some lads from the gwladys end out and throw them up front....

    hmm, anyways.

If we have no strikers its probably cahill up front behind him in a 5 man midefield fellaini along with arteta, pinnear, castillo maybe, and osman possibly

with possibly jags, yobo, lescott hibbert/neville rounding things off.

Well Everton are short on strikers and Chelsea have cracking away form. I do expect a Chelsea win in this case so i will go 3-0.

    Everton 0 - 4 Chelsea

yes they are playing 442 for the first time in half a decade

    i am excited.

Been an Evertonian my entire life, and I am optimistic about this game. I think that we'll either win it or draw with them. Chelsea have been stumbling lately. It certainly won't be 4-nil to Chelsea, or 3-nil at that matter!

Tonight worries me deeply. If chelsea win, they go top. I really really really don't want that to happen. Come on Everton!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,980 ✭✭✭Kevster

That's the spirit PHB! Actually, yeh, this is a strange one because Liverpool fans will be Everton supporters tonight!

So who will Big Luiz drop to facilitate the four four two?

    it will be

    boswinga...alex.....terry....a.cole

    ....xxx.....xxxxx.....xxxx......xxxxxx

    .............Drogba........Anelka.......

so the midfield could be either

    ...J.Cole.......Mikel......Lampard/Ballack......Deco

or would he be willing to drop Mikel

    J.Cole.......Lampard.....Ballack..........Deco

or will he refuse to drop his stars (chicken out) and go

    ballack......Lampard.......Mikel............Deco..

he could even refuse to play any player out of position and do

    J.Cole......Lampard.......Mikel............Malouda

I would prefer the first or last option, with lampard in.

    C'mon the Toffees - a Cahill hat-trick ftw!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 13,224 ✭✭✭✭SantryRed

    Why would he go 4-4-2?

They've won all their away games this season:confused:

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,875 ✭✭✭ShoulderChip

Because he has a fully fit and sharp Drogab and Anelka,

and its worked well in training this week.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 15,116 ✭✭✭✭RasTa

Another draw for me please. Can't see it happening though. Chelsea 4-0

But eight league wins in a row away from the Bridge! Why change that?

Normally I wouldnt be saying this but c'mon on everton!:(

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 7,134 ✭✭✭x in the city

who are these guys saying 3,4 nil to chelski, they obviously have no idea what its like playing at Goodison.

I think fellaini will score, chelski might win but it wont be by 4 goals

    Castillo, Arteta, Pinnear, Osman

    Jags, Lescott, Yobo, Hibbert/Neville

    Howard

Chelsea not going with 2 upfront as previously suggested and Cahill being used as a forward again for Everton with the Yak, Saha, Vaghaun and Anichebe all out

I find it hard to see how drogba for ballack would not be a good sub.

The midfield is well and truly packed for both teams.

Deco is having some great touches, and some awful ones, an unreliable mode of attack so far, both full backs playing very well, and j.cole getting involved well

anelka is not seeing much of the ball is retreating into the midfield.

    Finally Terry walks.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,435 ✭✭✭✭redout

    LoL........

    Terry go bye bye.

    3 game suspension.

    Merry Xmas.

Now lets wait and see the FA reduce it. ****ing typical.

As much as i don't really like Terry, mainly becasue he gets away with a lot of stuff - i think the red was a bit harsh

difficult for chelsea now to keep this away run going

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 10,259 ✭✭✭✭Melion

    What did he do?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,892 ✭✭✭Harpy

lunged in studs up, definite red card, players know that these days thats a defninite red card..

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,580 ✭✭✭uberwolf

    that's a red every time.

    And now Ballack dives.

They should dispense yellow cards like confetti for surrounding the ref. If you approach him en masse, have a card. End of story.

Going for a 50/50 ball with Osman i think it was,

but he did "lunge" as the Setanta commentators said, i thought he had eyes on the ball,

im not sure if both his legs were in the air - but he did catch him with one,

Ref sent him off after a long think about it, and a talk with the assistant

Is that a 1 game or 3 game ban?
