    Hi,
Was thinking of changing to AIB variable for investment property. Their rate is 4.7%, with current financial institute we have been offered a 2 year fixed of 4.5%.

However if rates are going to come down further will any of these (for investment mortgages) be passed on? The previous one .75% wasn't. In general are cuts passed on for inv. mortgages as well?

    Thanks,
    Pa.

Banks are trying to discourage investment mortgages, and there is no political pressure to help out hard pressed landlords in the way that there is pressure to help out hard pressed homeowners. So it is unlikely that the banks will pass on future rate cuts (if any). This however is just my opinion and no one can predict the future.
