    If VRT was abolished it would devalue everyone's car when the new car prices drop, so pretty much anyone who has a car at the moment would loose out - both in terms of the amount they have financed that car for and the trade in value they will recieve...

    Let alone the state coppers would miss one of their most significant sources of income in relation to expenditure (feck all investment to warrant VRT! - and dont say roads cos other countries dont have VRT and still manage to build the things!)

    Abolition of VRT - It will never happen!
