I shop in River Island, i like the jeans and some of the jumpers. Clothes in there are so much better then that queer skinny jean crap they sell in Topman now.... oh whatever happened that shop.

They have some nice things amongst all the "bling". A shop for those who are willing to rummage!

I agree. I never used to shop in RI but then I actually got a job there. If you take the time you can find some lovely stuff. I have loads of clothes from there now and none of it is 'bling' or like something Jodie Marsh would wear. My discount also helps :D

Ill usually have a look. Id never buy things like jeans, tshirts etc in there because theyre too expensive for what they are. they do have some nice things from time to time, & have great bags, accessories & shoes.

ill usually find something absolutely gorgeous or else come out thinking what the hell is all this weird crap.. & theres always some things that are reasonably enough priced & others that the price makes no sense whatsoever.

i find their sizes ok, but that might be cause id never even bother trying any trousers on in there, usually just tops or dresses.

I hadn't shopped there in a long time until recently and I will not be buying anything there again. The quality is really poor. I bought a blouse and 1 of the buttons fell off after I wore it once, hadn't even washed it yet. I bought a tank top with some sequins on it and most of the sequins have fallen off, I haven't even worn it that much. I agree, the sizes are bizarre.

    Should have brought it back.

I'm convinced they're using the same sweatshops factories that Penneys use.

Every shop you find will have some nice stock, some poor stock. Why? Because everyone has different taste and most places try to cater for every taste.

I like River Island - do a lot of shopping there. Wouldn't go near the so called "chavvy" looking stuff (i.e. hoddies with a random two-digit number on the front, or a t-shirt with three random lines somewhere down the side) but I will buy some of their T-shirts with funky cartoons on the front. Their leather jackets are also very nice, but as mentioned earlier, never buy a suit from RI.
