Uploading data to Garmin Nuvi 250w

How do I do this? Is there a special cable that I need to get to hook the sat nav up to my laptop or should this have come with the sat-nav?

ya just need a usb mini cable, dont think ya get one with it

most camera's use them so do phones psp and the ps3, ya more thsn likely got one with somethin before but ya would get one anywhere that sells ps stuff

Thanks guys, I managed to get a few bits uploaded.

Where can I get the updated '09 map?

Also, I tried registering my Garmin on http://www.mypois.ie but it doesn't seem to be working for some reason.

I've downloaded Garmin Communicator plugin but the test page says that it can't read it.

Any help?

go there to register it, ya should be able to get the maps then if ya register it in the first 90 days after the first fix, if not, go to support and send them an email bout it
