What is Ireland's GDP (and GNP), and where do I find those basic facts? I've been trawling such sites as finfacts, but while they have lots and lots about percentage drops, they don't say from what to what, when.

    Hmm.

Still can't find one that says "Ireland's GDP for 2007 was €xxxbn, and per capita GDP was €xxxxx".

    http://www.cso.ie/releasespublications/documents/economy/current/qna.pdf

Front sheet gives latest GDP/GNP for Q3 08.

Table 1 gives the GDP & GNP by sector per year and also segments per Q with overall figures on RHS. Doesn't give per capita.

It appears that you still haven't found the answer so: 2007 GDP was approx. €190,603,000,000. To get that in per capita terms you simply divide by the population, it was something near 4.335 million, which gives you €43,968 (give or take a Euro).

Edit: If you want that for GDP at constant prices, and GNP:
GDP at (2006) constant prices was €187,971,000,000, per capita being €43,361

GNP: €161,210,000,000, per capita €37,188 (those are current prices; constant, 2006, prices would be €158,756,000,000 and €36,621, for total and per capita, respectively).

    27/6/2008 GNP - €46.91B
    9/7/2008 GNP - €38.784B
