It's hard to know just how much of yet another marketing/money making ploy this is. I'd say it'd probably only be really useful to somebody who's in charge of a big yard, etc. and even then, it depends on what you do and how much time you actually have to sit down and plan it out. Personally, I always prefer a pen and paper so that I can actually see everything in front of me at one time, without having to swap different files, etc. despite the fact that I rely on computers hugely for my work!!!
