Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Worked out quite well for him though :)

Hopefully it doesnt encourage him to keep trying to do it tho.

Defence really has gon to the sh/tter today without Bass and Habib. I'm sorry Steven Taylor, but it ain't no coincidence that whenever you get a run in the back 4, we look absolutely hopeless. Let Arsene have him.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,161 ✭✭✭✭M5

only hope now is that Liverpool take the foot off the gas, blunt at the front, non existant midfield defence all over the shop. Men against boys

in fairness, Enrique has been terrible too.

    Another good save from Given!

Do Toon not realise Sami is lethal from set pieces??

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 88,972 ✭✭✭✭mike65

That linky no worky for me but I found one that does.

Jebus does Sami want a hatrick?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,342 ✭✭✭Ardent

Sami could get a hat-trick in this game!

i had gerrard to score first and a separate bet for us to win 3-0. talk about having a conflict of interests!

I think they are asleep altogether, free header after free header

  • Registered Users Posts: 465 ✭✭coco06

would it not be better for toon fans if Taylor not be better if he was left up front?

Nothing against newcastle but i do hope Shay gets a big move in the summer
He really should win a few medals before he stops

    preferably Italy or Spain;)

Liverpool are playing some fantastic football, good to see. Nice balance in the team, and it allows people to play at their best, especially Yossi who has been great of late.

That said, jesus christ Newcastle, shambolic defending from set pieces.
How Shay Given is still with them is just beyond me.

Unless Newcastle up their performance by about 300% then they will get hammered second half

poxy zonal nonsence at the front post

Ya have to mark the man at the front post!

    Pox:(

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 38,247 ✭✭✭✭Guy:Incognito

This is ridiculous. At this stage that should be no more than a consolation goal. Instead we are going into half time a bit shakey

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 10,259 ✭✭✭✭Melion

Lets be honest. Are any Liverpool fans worried about that?

We have dominated them for 45 minutes, best performance ive seen from us this season.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,815 ✭✭✭Charlie

    Back in it ?

If Joe can sort out the shape, and perhaps introduce Xisco/Carroll, then possibly. It will be interesting to see whether Rafa sends his lads out to play with same gutso, and go for the kill or, try and play it tight, and see out the win.

absolutley, cant make any subs really to change anything, duff looks sharp but the midfield is being broken down/giving the ball away far to easily. Total domination by the pool. Given an absolute legend, pity the defense is not helping him at all

Well its nice to be 2-1 up but the goal at the stroke of half time could put some fire under the Toons now so a tad apprehensive going into the second half for Rockee anyway!

Oh i know ill regret it :D

I just can't see how Newcastle can get back into it through open play, although more defending from Liverpool like that and who knows.

instead of being 3/4-0 up at half time we conceed a goal. at least it may make rafa/sammy getting the boys going for a third early in the second half.. is macscha really needed this is match?

Yes. Dominated means F all unless you are away and clear. One Newcastle goal in the 2nd half is all they need. We have dropped plenty of points this season in games we dominated and battered the goal down in.

yes, yes, yes. Masch is owning the midfield with Lucas

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,308 ✭✭✭Pyjamarama

Masch positional sense when attacks break downs is vital for us guys. He stops counters and is playing the nice simple ball to start the attack rolling again. That side of his game is very underrated imo.

Keep those kind of posts to yourself! We have been the vastly superior team but newcy still have enough talent up top to punish us out of nowhere!

As we have witnessed, things don't always go as you would expect.
