    When: Saturday or Sunday 11th/12th
    Where: Phoenix Park? Shankill?
    Time: Morning.
    Distance: 18-20 miles
Style: Progression run in four mile blocks or something
    Pace: Starting out easy (7:15 - 7:30), finishing up around 6 minute/mile

    Maybe something like:
    Miles 0-4: slower than 7:15/mile
    Miles 5-8: slower than 6:50/mile
    Miles 9-12: slower than 6:30/mile
    Miles 12-16: slower than 6:15/mile
Miles 17-18 (or 20): Freestyle! Speed-up or cool-down. Your choice!

Just a thought. May help keep the 'have I done enough' demons at bay, for another few days, while suiting a few people targeting different paces. Will just do it in Shankill on my toblerone if there's no interest.

Sunday morning could suit me nicely for this one (although could probably manage Saturday if needed)

    Flexible on venue

I'd be on for that 20. Sunday suits best. Flexible on location. Somewhere not Phoenix Park related might be nice!

Sunday works perfectly for me. Have a great route from Shankill as far as Marlay and back again, and can stash a few drinks along the route, but am completely flexible about locations.

Supporting a friend going for 3:10 in DCM (he could be supporting me), pm me if you're in that neck of the woods.

'7:30 ish with a few faster bits maybe' is a pretty nifty pace for a 20 mile long run 2 weeks out for someone targeting 3:10???

Thought you might have misread the date on BBs original post, which was from last week. 20 miles @pmp + 4%-5% is a damn good (tough) session three weeks out, but would be a bit much two weeks away from goal marathon. Just to be clear, there are exactly 19 days to Dublin marathon. :)

:) - he ended up running 7:40 pace, with a handful of miles at MP, reckon he just needs to keep it between the ditches now.

The last one before the big one.....

Looking to do 13 miles this Sunday around 7 minute miles or just over. Flexible on time and venue. May drop the pace for the last 2/3 miles but nothing savage (!).

Fire me a PM, text or reply here.

Might be up for this if the Lufthansa pilots are on strike. Can you make it 10am?

Hmmm...might be up for this. How hilly is it?

Very. Three Rock, Two Rock, Tibradden and Cruagh. And back. We will be taking it slowly though.

What is your definition of 'slow'?

:D I dunno pace-wise, but effortwise fairly easy. I know that's about as clear as mud, but we won't be racing that's for sure.
We'll be like the marines - no man (or woman) gets left behind...

If the group is fairly big, I might not feel too bad about lagging behind (my definition of 'easy' is 10-11 min/mi, and my post-marathon legs are currently closer to the 11 mark...). If the group is small and fast, I might just do my own thing in the end, and not hold everyone up. Will keep an eye on this thread and see what kind of take-up there is closer to the time. In my calendar so far

Edit: way slower on THAT route! But still looks interesting

Actually I've other plans tomorrow so wouldn't be worth my while doing 30 mins. Paulie if you're doing this again in 2 weeks I'd be interested :pac:
