Im not long after buying the car and the water pump went instantly the guy i bought it off has agreed to pay. He said he was shocked it went etc....

I havent drove it much ova xmas but i went on a decent spin tonight so i drove it on.

The car more or less wont go ove 85 miles an hour at around 3000 revs

    The car is a Vw Gold T red D red I 02.

It works fine up until this speed turbo kicks in no problem.

    Any ideas?

I'm sure an expert will be along soon but the MAF (mass airflow metre) seems to have been a problem in a lot of VW's, Audi's etc, at least among those my friends have owned. But any advice you get on here will really just be speculation: get thee to a VW specialist and have it plugged into a diagnostic computer - I know lads who have brought their cars everywhere but the main dealer and had a load of unnecessary work done before getting theirs fixed at an MD for half the price they would have paid if they just brought it to get diganosed in the first place.

This might be a stupid question but would it be costly if that is what is wrong with it?

    Thanks for the help.
