Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    These matches were played on astro and with no offside for the record.

    I play left back, not sure about the age of this kind of thing, im 18. Reasonably fit but haven't played in nearly year due to my team breaking up. Up for it though if you's are stuck

    Age shouldn't be a barrier, in fact, at 18 I'd say you have a distinct advantage over the fat bastard users of Boards.ie :D

    I'm sure some of you are aware, if not all of you, that Boards.ie has it's own organised football team.

    We are called Boardeaux, and we play in the Astro.ie 11-a-side League. Here's our dedicated forum.

    At the moment we are halfway through our fifth season (We started in September 2006) and have progressed steadily over the last two and a half years.

    There are Summer and Winter Leagues, so around mid-february we will be recruiting again for the Summer League.

    If any of you are interested in joining up, get in contact with me, either via PM or on our forum there, we always welcome new players, and will have a few pre-season games organised to have a look.

    If you think you are interested, and think you might improve our current squad, give me a shout.

    We play at the "Social" level at present, there is an intermediate, and a high level also, and we are currently in a position in which we might potentially win our division.

    Anyway, just thought some of you may be interested, if not, no harm no foul, but if so, then don't be shy.

    Nah it's cool man. you have more experience with this kind of thing tbf.
    Last time I captained a team at least you could see everyone face to face at training etc.

    Looking forward to this,unfortunately its coming at the wrong end of the year for me fitness wise as later on in the year I have a couple of things on and I have to get my fitness back up to a good level.

    Right I'll put you down as a utility player, might stick you left mid if we have no-one else to go there.
    Not sure about boots or astros yet. Will be ringing to book the pitch tomo so I'll let you's all know then :)

    Lads I'm gonna hold off booking this one as I forgot to ask a very pertinent question.
    Do we want the pitch for one or two hours?
    If we pick one hour everyone has to be there on time to get payment sorted out etc.
    Whereas if we go with two we have a bit of a cushion to getting the match finished and could go for longer maybe.

    We'll be using this pitch.

    So an hour will cost 50 euro without lights or 75 with lights.
    Depending on what time we get the pitch for we might not need lights but if we're stuck with a 3 o'clock start personally I think we should get the lights..

    So what do you's want?
